That’s why at the Darren Lange Swimming Academy we try to make it as easy as possible on families to keep up their learn to swim lessons all year round - without the burden.

An important part of being able to provide you with a high quality program and customer service comes from implementing and maintaining our payment and make up policies.

We have tried to create a fair and flexible set of policies to suit your busy lifestyle. So without further ado, check out our very family friendly make up and payment policies – in a nutshell.

Make up policies and flexible payment policies: It’s the DLSA Difference

Payment Policy

Direct Debit:

Learning to swim requires a year-round commitment and these days a majority of our DLSA families come to their lessons with this in mind. Direct Debit can help to make the financial side of year round swimming more manageable for you and your family.

Simply, by using our Direct Debit system, you will be able to select your most preferred day, time and teacher and have that time slot without having to think about it from term to term.

Your booking will automatically transfer to the new program and will continue to do so until you notify us otherwise and or you children need to changes levels and thus classes.

Direct Debit is a great option to:

  • Break your payments into manageable monthly amounts
  • Secure your most preferred day, time and teacher all year round
  • Breeze in and out without having to worry about your bookings and payments(conditions apply)

Make-up policy

Missed a class? No worries at the DLSA with our easy Make-Up Policy.

An important part of being able to provide you with a high quality program and customer service comes from implementing our fair and flexible Make Up Policy. We understand things happen – like children getting sick - which may make it difficult to get to your class on a particular day. We have a fantastic Make-Up Policy which sets us apart from other swim schools.

The DLSA offers FREE MAKE-UPS for any lesson missed for any reason.

  • Notification of non-attendance must be received prior to missed lesson
  • Make-ups can’t be used as credits for lessons
  • Make-ups are made available subject to availability
  • No more than four make-ups per child can be accrued at any one time
  • Every effort will be made to provide you with make up opportunities before the end of the program
  • If you are unable to attend any make-ups, a $4 credit per make-up will be placed on your account (maximum two per child). Make-ups cannot be used as credits for lessons
  • Make-ups must be finalised within six weeks of being accrued unless a prolonged sickness or injury supported by a doctor’s certificate prohibits the make-ups being done within this period
  • Please note that make-ups are made in classes where space is available. If that particular class receives a standard booking your make up will need to be re-scheduled
  • Please phone the DLSA to confirm your make-p on the day of the make-up to ensure that your make-up is still available

Introduction to Programs

At the DLSA we have a passion for teaching learn to swim. Our first-class programs are designed and maintained by Olympian and Commonwealth Gold and Silver Medallist Darren Lange to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle for life by offering water confidence, learn-to-swim and squad programs.

Getting your children involved in learn to swim lessons and water safety classes is one of the key steps you can take to help make your children safer in and around the water.

Our program is designed for children from 4 months of age all the way up to adults. Students progress through our 19-stage lesson structure at their own pace mastering the skills in a level before advancing to the next.

We believe we have the very best and most comprehensive program to get your child loving the water for a lifetime of fitness and health.
